At four production sites, around 1,100 employees generate sales of around 750 million US$. At our site in Freiburg with approximately 770 employees, we train as Construction Mechanic (m/f/d). Construction mechanics can be found in practically all companies in the metal, mechanical and vehicle engineering sectors. They manufacture products from sheet metal and steel, using a wide variety of manual and mechanical manufacturing processes such as cutting, forming and joining. For component connections, welding technology is of particular importance. Construction mechanics are not only responsible for a single manufacturing step, but accompany their task from planning through the initial processing of raw materials to assembly. In their daily work, construction mechanics mostly work in a large workshop and read or design complex technical drawings. Before starting the manufacturing process, they plan with foresight and an eye for detail: which materials are needed, which tools and machines are used and how individual components are connected. During their apprenticeship, our trainees go through the training workshop as well as the specialist and production departments at our site. Our trainees therefore benefit from a very practice-oriented working environment in which they can gain early insights into the various work areas of a construction mechanic.
