Apprenticeship as Dental Assistant

Apprenticeship as a dental assistant in oral, maxillofacial and facial surgery and dentistry, oral and maxillofacial medicine at Charité (University Medicine Berlin) with a rotation system for comprehensive insights.

• You receive patients at the reception, take over file filing and coordination as well as appointment coordination of treatments
• You learn and take over the preparation and follow-up of the outpatient or treatment rooms
• You clean, maintain and disinfect instruments, apparatus and equipment
• You learn to operate dental devices, prepare specialized X-rays and assist in medical and dental treatments as well as surgical procedures if necessary
• You learn to fill out treatment, healing and cost plans and prepare the outpatient billing for health insurance companies

• You have at least a Mittlerer Schulabschluss or equivalent school leaving certificate
• You have good grades in the school subjects German, Natural Sciences and English
• You have an interest in dental contexts and enjoy working with people
• You are reliable, like working in a team and have organizational skills
• You bring a sense of responsibility, commitment and willingness to perform
• You are trustworthy and discreet (e.g. maintain confidentiality when handling patient data)
• You have very good German language skills and have flawless pronunciation and good linguistic expression
• For non-native German speakers: Proof of language level C1
