Internship / Thesis Simulation (Strength Calculation & Multi-Body Simulation)

In one of the most modern production companies within the CLAAS Group, CLAAS Saulgau develops, tests and manufactures machines for forage harvesting and attachments as well as process technology for forage harvesters. In short: everything that makes the forage harvesting heart of our customers beat faster.

• You apply multi-body simulations and evaluate them to investigate dynamic movement sequences of machines.
• You couple strength calculations and multi-body simulations (flex-body simulation) to determine loads realistically.
• You operate and adapt modern simulation software as part of virtual product development.
• You support the planning, execution and evaluation of tests.
• You develop and optimize components with regard to service life and reliability under realistic conditions.
• You participate in research and development projects in the field of agricultural machinery technology.

• You are studying mechanical engineering or a comparable degree program, ideally in a master's program.
• You have sound basic knowledge of technical mechanics, strength of materials and dynamics.
• You show a high willingness to learn and a pronounced interest in technical issues.
• You speak fluent German and good English.
• You work in a structured, analytical, independent manner and enjoy working in a team.
• You already have experience in dealing with fatigue strength.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office and desirable experience in CAD round off your profile.
• A basic understanding of agricultural machinery is an advantage.
• You are willing to work on site at the company location.
