Student CLAAS Inside in Development for the XERION

CLAAS Selbstfahrende Erntemaschinen GmbH develops, tests and builds combine harvesters, forage harvesters and system tractors at its main plant in Harsewinkel. Students support the development of large tractors (PU System Tractors).

• Support development projects for large tractors (engine and engine peripherals, drive transmission, steering axles, working hydraulics, complete vehicle)
• Help develop concepts and implement them up to a functional prototype for test series
• Carry out and evaluate measurement series (lab, test bench, field use) and data analysis
• Support CAD design, simulations (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink, FEM) and test preparation
• Document results and take part in internal coordination and project meetings
• Contribute ideas for improving products and processes in powertrain

• Ongoing studies in mechatronics, vehicle engineering, mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering or a comparable degree
• Great enthusiasm for agricultural technology and mobile machinery
• Interest in powertrain topics and willingness to learn specialist areas
• First knowledge of CAD (e.g. CATIA, NX), data analysis/simulation (e.g. MATLAB) is an advantage
• Experience with agricultural or mobile machinery
• Driving licence class T or CE desirable
• Analytical thinking, creativity and an independent, structured way of working
• Team skills and strong communication
