Machining Specialist

All this is essential to reach our goal – for everyone who moves the world. Our department is the central manufacturing unit of Truck Technology for transmission components. We produce parts such as wheels, shafts, planet carriers, ring gears, synchronizer and constant velocity bodies – along the entire process chain from initial machining (turning, gear cutting) through heat treatment to hard/fine machining. Our parts supply both our own transmission assembly at the Gaggenau plant and an international production network: we deliver components and individual parts to Kassel, Detroit and Brazil, among others. Quality, process stability and on-time delivery are the focus of our daily work.

• Manufacturing of transmission and e-axle components and parts for axles
• Conducting worker self-inspections, dimensional checks and documentation according to specifications
• Ensuring quality, on-time delivery and process stability in ongoing production
• Performing setup operations and tool changes as well as minor troubleshooting
• Collaborating with interfaces such as production engineering, quality and maintenance
• Contributing to continuous improvement (CIP) in an international manufacturing network

• Completed vocational training as a machining mechanic, production mechanic, industrial mechanic or a comparable metalworking profession
• Experience in operating, troubleshooting and setting up CNC machines (Siemens control)
• Experience in operating automation and control systems, preferably Kuka robots
• Willingness to acquire additional qualifications
• Willingness to work shifts and weekends in a 3-shift or continuous shift system
• Independent and self-reliant action as well as high motivation and teamwork skills
