OpenShift Cloud Engineering Specialist, Networking Focus

As a member of the OpenShift team, you help build, scale, improve and reliably operate the OpenShift platform in DATEV's data centre. Your focus is networking and collaboration with the wider network and infrastructure teams.

• Build, operate and improve the OpenShift platform, with a technical focus on networking and infrastructure.
• Develop OpenShift network architectures and concepts with availability, scaling and security in mind.
• Support the platform lifecycle and implement changes and extensions to network and infrastructure components.
• Analyse and resolve complex technical faults across platform and network boundaries.
• Work closely with the central network and infrastructure teams and represent the OpenShift platform's requirements.

• You have completed a degree in computer science, network engineering or a comparable subject, or completed vocational training, in each case with several years of professional experience in networking or infrastructure.
• You have sound knowledge of network technologies, network topologies and routing concepts.
• You have experience with relevant network protocols and technologies, ideally BGP.
• You have knowledge of load balancing, firewalls, DNS and Layer 2 and Layer 3 concepts.
• You want to develop from a network specialist into a broadly skilled cloud and platform engineer, ideally bringing knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes, OpenShift or comparable cloud and container platforms.
