Apprenticeship as a Retail Sales Assistant, Gelsenkirchen-Buer

The two-year retail apprenticeship trains you to become a customer contact person. Practical training takes place in a store and is supplemented by vocational school classes, training sessions and e-learning.

You advise customers, accept goods, present merchandise and operate the checkout. You also take on a variety of store tasks with increasing independence.

You have an open, friendly personality and a weakness for shoes. You are enthusiastic about fashion and interested in current trends. You enjoy being physically active. You are a team player and reliable. You have at least a lower secondary school certificate.

An in-house training team provides group training with other Deichmann apprentices on product knowledge and sales topics. A designated trainer and personal apprentice mentor in your store provide close support throughout the apprenticeship. With very good performance, you may complete a four-week stay abroad at a Deichmann store in another country. Statutory special leave is available for various short-term, personal or special life events. Learning opportunities and exam-preparation exercises, including on your smartphone, are provided through the internal e-learning platform.
