Building Surveyor, Real Estate

The Construction & Real Estate department offers a broad service portfolio nationwide: construction-accompanying property inspections for private or industrial buildings, damage assessments, property valuations, structural inspections of load-bearing structures and engineering works, and technical due diligence. On energy topics we are also a point of contact, from energy performance certificates and building energy consulting to energy audits for companies.

• You carry out construction-accompanying property inspections and inspections of existing buildings with a focus on residential and commercial construction, and also support the handover
• You assess the technical quality of execution, especially with regard to the contractually agreed condition and the generally recognized rules of technology
• With your expertise you take on the technical and professional lead of on-site inspections
• As part of damage and insurance reports for commercial and private customers, you document and assess building damage and determine the cause, taking into account contractual requirements, recognized rules of technology and insurance terms
• You carry out evidence preservation (building condition documentation) and expert findings, determine the amount of damage in property and liability claims, and clarify claims and repair costs
• You prepare technical reports or statements (party expert opinions) that are transparent and meaningful for everyone involved

• Academic university degree in architecture, civil engineering (building construction) or a comparable field, ideally with recognition as a building surveyor or the willingness to obtain it with us
• Several years of professional experience in planning and executing building projects (turnkey building and civil engineering), preferably in residential and commercial construction
• Very good knowledge of tendering, site management, and contract and procurement law
• Sound expertise in construction methods, building materials and building physics, fire protection and sound insulation, as well as standards and regulations
• Confident use of modern IT and computer systems
• Strong writing skills to produce clear and precise documentation and reports
• Class B driving licence and willingness to work locally in the field
