About this Apprenticeship
DEKRA is seeking a vehicle inspection engineer or automotive expert in Verden and also offers this role at other locations throughout Germany. Applicants who are not yet recognized or authorized as vehicle inspection engineers or automotive experts can join its comprehensive training program. The role covers vehicle inspections, safety checks and technical reports.
What You'll Learn
- Independently carry out periodic statutory vehicle inspections and safety checks on motor vehicles and their trailers under section 29 of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations
- Inspect vehicle modifications under section 19.3 of the German Road Traffic Licensing Regulations
- Prepare inspection reports and technical expert reports
- Support customers as a trusted expert and use your network to expand your customer base
Requirements
- University engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a comparable technical subject
- Ideally, completed vocational training and/or initial professional experience in the automotive sector
- Existing authorization as a vehicle inspection engineer (PI) or officially recognized expert or inspector (aaSoP), if applicable
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Confidence when dealing with customers and strong communication skills
- A service-focused, independent and responsible approach to work
- Driving licences in categories A, B and CE, or willingness to obtain them
- Willingness to carry out local fieldwork
