About this Apprenticeship
In Tax & Legal – M&A Tax, you support international company acquisitions, IPOs and restructurings. As part of the team, you advise international clients on all tax and business questions. Locations: Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt (Main) and Hamburg.
What You'll Learn
- Direct client management in all facets of international transactions for private equity infrastructure and real estate funds
- Project variety: From due diligence and expert sessions to structuring, tax modelling and SPA review from a German tax perspective
- Communication: Main contact for fund managers as well as deal teams during tax due diligence reviews (buy and sell side)
- Tax advice: On acquisition and sale structuring, contract negotiations (e.g. review of tax clauses) and international tax planning
- Implementation: Take part in project work on internal restructurings including implementation, as well as tax-optimal financing design
- Knowledge transfer: Exchange with specialists from other fields and foreign offices during international company purchases and restructurings
Requirements
- Degree in law or economics, or a commercial vocational training with further qualification, plus a passed tax advisor exam
- Expertise in German and international tax law
- Leadership experience, entrepreneurial thinking and action, systematic and solution-oriented in project work
- Enjoyment of direct communication and very good German and English, spoken and written
