About this Apprenticeship
- Do you want to help financial service providers manage risks better in the area of Strategy, Risk & Transactions – Advisory – Financial Risk? Our team provides comprehensive support in all phases of the business process and combines targeted experience, deep technical knowledge, leading industry expertise, and an extensive understanding of regulatory requirements. Secure our joint success and make a difference with us: as Consultant Data Science Credit Risk (m/f/d). Locations: Düsseldorf, Berlin, Frankfurt (Main), Hamburg, Hannover, Cologne, Munich, and Stuttgart. As Consultant Data Science Credit Risk (m/f/d), you develop solution approaches for financial service providers to tackle current challenges in credit risk management – and contribute to shaping business processes through your consulting. Your Impact:
- Hands-on entry: You bring your academic experience to the development and implementation of credit risk models (rating models, credit portfolio models, early warning systems, etc.) and build deep expertise.
- Variety of tasks: Additionally, you deal with the validation and testing of credit risk models as well as machine learning, text mining, etc. in the context of credit processes.
- Further development: You propose new ideas to optimize your clients' processes and further develop our tools.
- Growth: You actively support your team in identifying new business fields, acquiring new clients, and preparing proposals.
- Innovation: Within your role, you contribute your own ideas to advise clients even better and participate in the development of new products up to market maturity.
What You'll Learn

Requirements
- Degree in Economics, (Business) Computer Science, (Business) Engineering, (Business) Mathematics, or equivalent.
- Ideally first experiences and a good understanding of the banking sector in the areas of supervisory law, risk management, and credit processes.
- Good statistical knowledge, linear/logistic regression or machine learning models in risk parameter estimation (PD, LGD, CCF) for application of Basel II to IV or IFRS 9.
- Strong IT affinity and first knowledge in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS) and relational database systems (SQL).
- High commitment, team spirit, quick comprehension, and enjoyment of challenging projects.
- Willingness to travel and enjoyment of communication and presentation for demanding target groups in German and English (very good written and spoken).
