Consultant M&A IT - Post-Merger Integration & Carve-out

In Strategy, Risk & Transactions – Advisory – Mergers & Acquisitions, you support clients along the entire M&A deal cycle. As Consultant M&A IT you support clients on all relevant IT questions in M&A transactions, e.g. due diligences, carve-outs and post-merger integrations.

• Hands-on start: As part of a project team you carry out due diligences, plan complex carve-outs and post-merger integrations and support their implementation with the project team.
• Analysis: You analyze and assess IT-specific risks and synergies in M&A transactions, for example when separating or merging companies or business units, in investor processes, or when forming joint ventures.
• Consulting: Based on this data you develop tailored recommendations, which you implement with the project team and in close coordination with your clients.
• Communication: Your contacts belong to the management level of industry leaders in our target markets, e.g. industrial companies, banks or private equity firms.
• Technology: You use modern tools and technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence) to implement projects efficiently and develop tailored solutions for your clients.

• Very good Master's or Diplom degree, ideally in (business) informatics, business administration or (industrial) engineering with an IT or software focus
• First practical experience in the IT organization of an industrial company or a consultancy in mergers & acquisitions with a focus on IT
• First experience in applications (e.g. SAP or other ERP systems), software development, IT architecture and system integration, IT infrastructure and cloud, IT security, IT transformations or artificial intelligence (in at least one area) is an advantage
• Strong IT affinity and interest in the dynamics of the M&A transaction business as well as high commitment, personal responsibility and an agile way of working
• Willingness to travel and very good German and English, spoken and written (including convincing communication with different stakeholders)
