EMEA Compliance Officer

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer (m/f/d) based in Heusenstamm. You support the ongoing development of the compliance management system in the EMEA region and advise managers and employees on all compliance questions.

• Further develop and drive the implementation of the KION Compliance Management System within the Dematic organization in the EMEA region
• Review, develop and improve compliance policies, procedures and internal controls in line with relevant legal and strategic requirements
• Advise management and executives on compliance matters and promote a culture of integrity, accountability, transparency and ethical decision-making
• Trusted contact for employees on compliance questions
• Lead and coordinate investigations into potential compliance violations and support implementation of suitable remedial measures
• Functional leadership and guidance of the compliance officers in the region
• Carry out risk-based compliance due diligence reviews, including M&A transactions and checks of external business partners
• Develop and deliver tailored compliance training for different target groups
• Support the global compliance team with risk assessments, compliance controls, reporting, monitoring and other global initiatives

• Successfully completed degree in law, business law, business administration or a comparable qualification in a related field
• At least 5-8 years of professional experience in compliance in an international corporate environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of designing, implementing and continuously improving compliance management systems
• Proven ability to lead and work effectively with various stakeholders without direct reporting lines (lateral leadership)
• Strong analytical skills combined with a structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented way of working
• High level of integrity, excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex topics clearly for the audience
• Fluent German and English (spoken and written); further languages are an advantage
• Knowledge of data protection laws and practical experience applying them are an advantage
