Apprenticeship as Electronics Technician for Operating Technology for Signalling and Communication Technology 2027

As an electronics technician for operating technology you are a very important part of a well-functioning railway system. Because through you our trains can run and our passengers arrive safely and quickly at their destination. Starting 16 August 2027 we are looking for you for the 3.5-year apprenticeship as electronics technician for operating technology in the field of signalling and communication technology (m/f/d) for DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in Frankfurt am Main and later on our nationwide construction sites. Vocational school lessons take place in block form at the Werner-von-Siemens School in Frankfurt am Main and the training workshop is located in Liederbach.

• You familiarise yourself with the new construction, installation and monitoring of various systems
• You also learn as an electronics technician for operating technology to analyse and rectify faults in operating technology
• You are also taught knowledge of measurement, testing and diagnostic procedures
• You work outdoors on switching systems and signal box technology
• You also participate in the cabling of signals, antennas and WiFi systems

• You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school leaving certificate is recognised in Germany.
• Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2.
• You enjoy maths and physics.
• Different work locations nationwide as well as varying working hours and night shifts are a welcome change for you.
• You are manually skilled and like tinkering with electronic components.
• You are definitely a team player and reliable.
• You also like working independently.
