What Deutsche Bahn AG offers

• Your workplace is like a large car repair workshop with trains.
• You will help ensure that electronic components in regional trains, such as doors and information displays, work properly.
• You will learn about electrical quantities such as voltage, current, resistance and power.
• You will learn to analyse and fix faults in electrical equipment.
• You will learn measurement, testing and diagnostic methods and how to write proper technical records.
• You receive a mobile device for learning and personal use.
• 16 free journeys within Germany each year, further travel discounts such as the DB Job-Ticket for commuting, and low-cost options for taking family and friends along.
• Up to €400 per month towards rent if commuting from your previous home would take more than 2.5 hours a day and you rent somewhere closer.
• €1,324 to €1,531 per month depending on the training year, plus Christmas pay. These amounts apply from 1 July 2026; the employment terms apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
