Apprenticeship Electronics Technician for Operating Technology in Track Network 2027

You look after electrical installations along the rails – primarily outdoors in the fresh air. During your apprenticeship, you familiarize yourself with the maintenance and repair of signaling and safety technology, such as signals, point motors, and level crossings. Inspection, maintenance, and upkeep of signaling and safety technology installations become part of your daily routine. You install and maintain electrical systems such as point heating systems, track field lighting systems, or lightning protection systems, wire, test, and measure control boxes, and test portable equipment. Knowledge of measurement, testing, and diagnostic methods is taught. Your workday begins and ends at your regional base in Regensburg, from where you set out with your team to the job sites.

You will soon have successfully completed school with an intermediate school diploma, and your school diploma is recognized in Germany; Your German language skills correspond to at least level B2; You enjoy math and physics; You are manually skilled and like tinkering with electronic components; You are definitely a team player and reliable; You also like working independently
