Dual Study Program Electrical Engineering with Integrated Apprenticeship 2027

Starting 1 September 2027, we are looking for you for the 4.5-year dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering with integrated apprenticeship as an electronics technician for operating technology (f/m/d) at DB InfraGO AG in Güsten. Theory takes place at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences; practice takes place directly at the company in Güsten and at the training workshop in Leipzig.

You start in September with a 1-month practical assignment to get to know DB and your new department After half a year at university, you alternate in a 4-week rhythm between university and the training company for the next 2 years of your studies From the fourth semester onward, you complete the theory in Görlitz and work at the company during semester breaks After 4.5 years you finish your studies in electrical engineering with your bachelor thesis During your dual studies you will gain valuable experience in automation technology as well as control and safety technology You contribute to the control of maintenance of our rail infrastructure – your focus is on electrical engineering for our rails and power lines (control and safety technology) You also familiarize yourself with the tasks of an electronics technician – learning, for example, how to check whether our signals, points, and barriers function correctly You also learn to repair and program our systems in the event of malfunctions Depending on the practical phase, you are out in the field with your team Throughout the entire period, you always have dedicated contact persons at your side

You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) your Abitur or possess an equivalent professional qualification (professionally qualified applicants must meet the enrollment requirements) Your favorite subjects are math and physics You enjoy teamwork and are fascinated by technical interrelationships You also like tinkering with electronic devices Goal-oriented and independent work is a matter of course for you

For the success of your studies we provide the best conditions: you receive a laptop from us for learning and private use. We support you in settling into your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous residence and rent a closer apartment, you receive a rent subsidy of up to €400 per month. After your successful graduation you will receive an offer for a permanent position at DB.
