Industrial Electrical Technician Apprenticeship in Energy Supply 2027

DB Energie GmbH is recruiting for a 3.5-year industrial electrical technician apprenticeship starting on 1 September 2027. You will help keep railway energy supplies reliable and support the switch to cleaner energy.

• Supply electricity to trains, stations and infrastructure facilities
• Inspect, maintain and repair energy systems. Use measuring equipment and special testing methods to find faults, document your work and ensure a reliable electricity supply
• Help maintain refuelling facilities. Learn how the railway is switching to energy sources such as hydrogen and HVO100 or biofuel, and how equipment is kept up to date
• Work often takes place outdoors, for example at substations, transformer stations, railway stations or on railway tracks. Travel with your team to daily assignments and work sites

• You have successfully finished school or will do so soon, and your school qualification is recognised in Germany
• Your German is at least at B2 level
• You enjoy maths and physics
• You are good with your hands and enjoy working on electronic components
• You work well in a team and are reliable
• You also enjoy working independently
