Apprenticeship Track Builder in the Rail Network 2027

3-year apprenticeship as a track builder (f/m/d) at DB InfraGO AG in Lutherstadt Wittenberg. The vocational school is in Magdeburg, the training workshop in Königsborn (near Magdeburg). Accommodation in Magdeburg is funded for the first two years (if certain conditions are met). The selection process includes an aptitude examination.

• You work with your team outdoors on construction sites on our tracks
• Together you lay new rails and switches, check everything for damage and replace broken parts
• With modern machines you renew the ballast under the tracks
• You make sure all measurements are correct so trains run smoothly and safely
• During your training you are already an important part of the team and help keep our trains running reliably every day

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school diploma is recognized in Germany
• Your German is at least B2 level (for applicants with B1 we offer an online B2 language course before training starts)
• Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer working outdoors
• You are motivated and reliable
• You enjoy teamwork and like to pitch in
• Different work locations and hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you
