About this Apprenticeship
Dual apprenticeship as IT system electronics technician focusing on construction and maintenance of technical systems in security, ITK technology, and automation technology.
What You'll Learn
- Construction and maintenance of various technical systems in the areas of security, ITK technology, and automation technology (including intrusion and fire alarm systems, video and PA systems, displays, ticket machines, hot axle detection systems, various radio technologies, and much more).
- You are often outdoors in all weathers, e.g., on station premises, in track areas, or in signal boxes.
- Working with network technology from copper to fiber optics.
- Performing small assembly tasks.
- You accompany service technicians on assignments in the region and gain experience.
Requirements
- You have successfully completed school (soon) with at least a qualifying secondary school diploma and your school diploma is recognized in Germany.
- Your German language skills correspond to at least B2 level.
- Variety in the job is important to you.
- Your manual dexterity is particularly pronounced.
- You want to work independently and enjoy working outdoors.
- Teamwork and reliability characterize you.

- Rent subsidy We support you in settling into your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous place of residence and rent a closer apartment, you will receive a rent subsidy of up to 400 € per month from us.
- Takeover After your successful completion you will receive an offer for takeover at DB.
- Attractive remuneration Depending on the apprenticeship year between 1,324 Euro and 1,531 Euro per month plus Christmas bonus. * Remuneration amounts valid from 01.07.2026. The employment conditions apply to the vast majority of apprentices in the DB Group.
- Fixed contact persons We offer you a practical and future-oriented apprenticeship with fixed contact persons who accompany you on your way.
- DB Youngster Community DB Youngster Community – Experience exciting workshops, cool events, community trips and much more with other apprentices and dual students.
