Apprenticeship as Civil Engineering Specialist 2027

We are Deutsche Bahn. Millions of passengers travel with us every day and we transport huge quantities of goods – throughout Germany and in neighboring Europe. Too often we disappoint. That's why we are working flat out for a better railway. For that we need power and you! We are one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year we look for around 5,000 apprentices in 50 different apprenticeship occupations who want to make the railway a little better every day together with us. Join us: We offer you attractive benefits, a dedicated contact person and a great team at your side. And after successful completion of your apprenticeship you have the best chances of being taken on!

Construction site instead of office: With us you have real machines at the start and ensure that paths, platforms and crossings are created. Teamplay and technology: With your team you go out to the construction sites, you lay pipes and cables and use the latest machines and equipment. Pure variety: Whether producing components made of concrete and reinforced concrete, carrying out measurements or starting new construction projects – every day brings new tasks. You ensure that our infrastructure functions and help ensure that everything runs under and on the ground. During your apprenticeship as a civil engineering specialist, you are already an important part of the team and ensure every day that our trains run safely.

You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school and your school qualification is recognized in Germany. Your German language skills are at least level B2. Sitting at a desk is not for you – you prefer to work outdoors. You are motivated and reliable. You enjoy teamwork and like to get stuck in. Different work locations and working hours as well as night shifts are a welcome change for you.

We offer you 16 free trips within Germany per year and further travel discounts such as the DB Job Ticket for your daily commute. In addition, there are affordable travel options for family and friends. We support you in settling into your new city! If you have to commute more than 2.5 hours daily from your previous place of residence and rent a closer apartment, you will receive a rent subsidy of up to 400 € per month from us.
