Rail traffic controller apprenticeship 2027

DB InfraGO AG offers a three-year rail traffic controller apprenticeship starting on 1 September 2027 in Demmin, Joachimsthal, Torgelow or Schwedt/Oder. Vocational school classes take place in Güstrow. In the Neustrelitz network, you learn to keep trains running safely and on time from signal boxes using levers, buttons, rotary switches and electronic systems.

• Your colleagues show you step by step how to operate the equipment in a signal box correctly
• You learn when to press the right buttons to change signals or switch points so trains can move between tracks
• You stay in frequent contact with other rail traffic controllers, control centre staff and train drivers
• You play an important part in the team, helping passengers travel safely and on time on our trains

• You have successfully finished school, or will soon, and your school qualification is recognised in Germany
• Your German is at least at B2 level
• You stay calm and keep track of what is happening, even in difficult situations
• You enjoy taking responsibility and work with focus
• You work well in a team and are reliable
• You are willing to work shifts
• An assessment of your fitness for this apprenticeship is part of the selection process.
