Apprenticeship Train Traffic Controller 2027

Starting 15 August 2027, DB InfraGO AG is looking for trainees for the 3-year apprenticeship as a railway worker in train traffic control (m/f/d) at the Hoyerswerda site. The vocational school is in Schkeuditz (near Leipzig). You work in a control centre (signal box), watch trains on screens or boards and set signals and points at the push of a button. You are in constant contact with the train drivers. For longer travel distances, the company supports you under certain conditions.

• Your colleagues show you step by step how to operate the technology in a signal box correctly
• You learn when to press the right keys and buttons to switch, for example, signals (traffic lights) or points (switches for changing tracks)
• You are often in contact with other staff in train traffic control and control centres as well as with train drivers
• You are an important part of our team and make it possible for our passengers to travel safely and on time on our trains

• You have (soon) successfully finished school and your school qualification is recognised in Germany
• Your German skills are at least B2 level (for applicants with B1 level, we offer an online B2 language course before the training starts)
• You stay calm and keep an overview even in demanding situations
• You like taking responsibility and work with focus
• You are a team player and reliable
• You are willing to work in shifts
