Apprenticeship Train Traffic Controller - Fachwirt for Railway Operations 2027

For the training start on 1 September 2027, DB InfraGO AG offers a 2-year apprenticeship as a railway worker in train traffic control. Afterwards you can further qualify over two years as a Fachwirt for railway operations, reaching a level equivalent to a bachelor's degree. Training takes place at the Rosenheim site; the vocational school is in Landshut.

• You get familiar with working in a signal box
• Getting to know and operating different signal box technologies
• Basics of railway operations and how everyone involved works together
• You learn to set routes (track path, points, signals) for trains correctly, enabling e.g. safe, punctual and smooth arrival and departure at a station
• Communication and coordination with colleagues in the signal box, train drivers and control centres are part of your daily work

• You have successfully completed your (technical) Abitur and are, or until recently were, enrolled at a university of applied sciences or university
• Your German skills are at least at B2 level
• You are known for a focused and reliable way of working
• You like taking responsibility and also make decisions
• Strong communication skills and teamwork are natural for you
