As of October 1, 2027, we are looking for you for the 3.5-year dual study program for the Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering (f/m/d) at DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH in Hamm. You complete your theoretical phases at Hochschule Bochum. You start on September 1, 2027, with a 1-month practical assignment to get to know the company and your department. Thereafter, theory and practice alternate. Specifically, you work in our company during lecture-free periods and in a practical semester. Theory phase content: You learn the fundamentals of your engineering studies – topics from mathematics and physics. In addition, you acquire comprehensive expertise in the areas of building materials, structural analysis, structural mechanics, construction methods, design, and representation. Additionally, you will deepen your understanding of complex interrelationships from planning to execution. You also take courses in construction project management, construction law and construction economics, as well as environmental engineering – ideal for your later responsibility in construction. Practical phase content: You directly participate in construction projects and gain practical insights, e.g., into construction calculation and construction supervision. During your dual studies, you will also gain valuable experience in project control. You accompany all construction phases of attractive infrastructure projects. On construction sites, you are right there – from surveying to quality control. You also learn testing and measurement methods as well as important craft fundamentals.

You directly participate in construction projects and gain practical insights, e.g., into construction calculation and construction supervision. During your dual studies, you will also gain valuable experience in project control. You accompany all construction phases of attractive infrastructure projects. On construction sites, you are right there – from surveying to quality control. You also learn testing and measurement methods as well as important craft fundamentals.

You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) your (subject-specific) university entrance qualification (Abitur/Fachabitur) or possess an equivalent professional qualification (professionally qualified applicants must meet the enrollment requirements at Hochschule Bochum). Your favorite subjects are math and physics. You enjoy teamwork and technical interrelationships fascinate you. Purposeful and independent work is a matter of course for you. As part of the selection process for this position, you will undergo an aptitude assessment.
