Dual Study Program Electrical Engineering Railway Power Supply 2027

From 1 September 2027 we are looking for you for the 3-year dual study program leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering, specializing in railway power supply and overhead lines, at DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH in Erfurt. You complete the theory phases at bbw University in Berlin. Theory and practice alternate every 3 months. At least 50% of university courses take place online.

• You learn the basics of your electrical engineering studies - in maths, physics and business administration
• You gain expertise in control and circuit technology, measurement technology, electronics design and digital electronics
• You gain insights into the key areas of railways and rail infrastructure, from planning to construction supervision
• You take part in various projects, e.g. new construction and renovation of railway systems focusing on overhead lines and power supply systems
• In Thuringian projects you take care of, e.g., correct construction execution
• Your work takes place both in the office and on site at the construction site

• You have (soon) successfully completed your (Fach-)Abitur or have an equivalent vocational qualification (vocationally qualified applicants must meet the enrollment requirements of bbw Berlin)
• Your favorite subjects are maths and physics
• You enjoy teamwork and are fascinated by technical relationships
• You also like tinkering with electronic devices
• Goal-oriented and independent work is a matter of course for you
