Dual Study Programme Electrical and Information Engineering, Construction Supervision 2027

From 01.10.2027 we are looking for you for the 3-year dual study programme leading to a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Information Engineering, specialising in communications engineering, at DHBW Karlsruhe. You start on 01.09.2027 with a 1-month practical placement, after which theory and practice usually alternate every 3 months.

• You learn the basics of your electrical engineering studies - topics from maths, physics and computer science
• You learn everything worth knowing about communications and control engineering
• You gain expertise in automation technology and electrical power supply
• You work on key skills such as interdisciplinary thinking, project management and presentation techniques
• You get a comprehensive insight into project management, planning and especially construction supervision
• Your focus is on electrical engineering, especially communications technology, such as power supply of stations, lighting of platforms, heating systems
• You work on small and large projects and get to know all phases of our construction projects
• Office work and hands-on assignments at electrical systems in the operating area alternate

• You have (soon) successfully completed your (technical) Abitur or have an equivalent vocational qualification (holders of the Fachabitur must pass the aptitude test at DHBW before the start of studies; vocationally qualified applicants must meet the enrolment requirements)
• Your favourite subjects are maths and physics
• You enjoy teamwork and are fascinated by technical relationships
• You also like tinkering with electronic devices
• Working in a goal-oriented and independent way is a matter of course for you
