Heavy Track Machinery Operator, Tamping Technology

DB Bahnbau Gruppe GmbH is seeking heavy track machinery operators specialising in tamping technology to start as soon as possible in Berlin, Brandenburg an der Havel, Cottbus, Rostock and Schwerin, with assignments across regions. This is a permanent, full-time role.

• During thorough onboarding, you learn to operate high-performance heavy track machinery, such as tamping machines, track renewal trains, ballast cleaning machines, turnout transport wagons and cranes
• Together with your crew, you are responsible for repairing the track bed, particularly in Berlin, Brandenburg and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
• You also help repair, maintain and care for the machinery
• Depending on your experience as an ancillary rail vehicle driver, you learn the railway construction business and receive training and qualifications as a train driver / machine operator

• You have a recognised vocational qualification in a technical trade, such as construction equipment operator, road builder, professional driver, structural metalworker, mechatronics technician, vehicle mechanic or maintenance mechanic
• You understand technical processes and are willing to undertake further training and gain qualifications
• You are reliable and work independently, making you a valued team member
• You are highly flexible and willing to travel to construction sites nationwide for shift work and rotating shifts, including Sundays and public holidays
• You hold a category B driving licence to drive company vehicles
