Junior Surveying Engineer as Planning Engineer for Track Geometry

DB InfraGO AG is seeking a junior surveying engineer to work as a planning engineer for track geometry in Karlsruhe or Stuttgart, starting as soon as possible. The position is permanent and available full time or part time.

• Carry out track geometry calculations and studies for major works based on geometric, vehicle dynamics and economic principles
• Help plan and deliver infrastructure projects as part of the engineering surveying team and help develop modern, high capacity railway tracks
• Take responsibility for technically sound surveying work on projects
• Decide on awarding work to internal or external engineering firms and check incoming data and plans
• Independently manage engineering surveying projects as a whole and ensure timely delivery
• Ensure completed works are documented in the existing asset systems

• Completed university degree in surveying engineering or geodesy, or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience
• Ability to work independently, flexibly and reliably, and enjoyment of teamwork
• Commercial awareness in thinking and actions
• Strong writing skills with very good spoken and written German, and advanced skills in MS Office applications
• Medical fitness, assessed by an occupational physician during the selection process
