Your future team: Your future team at the Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (IFA) and in the IT and Digitalization Department (ITD) of DGUV offers you an exciting and versatile work environment. The IFA supports the statutory accident insurance institutions in scientific-technical questions of occupational safety and health and deals with research, development, product testing, operational measurements as well as consulting and standardization. At the same time, the ITD with around 90 employees is responsible for all IT services of DGUV and handles classic IT tasks such as software development, data center operation and user support. In addition, the ITD promotes digitalization and cooperation with ministries and other social insurance institutions. During your dual study program you will get to know both areas, work on exciting IT and research projects and gain valuable practical experience. You will be accompanied by experienced colleagues and can directly put your theoretical knowledge into practice. You want to shape the digital future and at the same time do something meaningful? Your dual study program lasts eight semesters and concludes with a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.). You combine your studies at the RheinAhrCampus in Remagen with three practical semesters at our location in Sankt Augustin. During your practical phases: You participate in cross-departmental IT projects and gain practical experience. You learn how complex software solutions are conceived, developed and programmed. You support exciting research projects and learn how software development is used in research. You gain insights into the coordination, monitoring and control of our IT infrastructure. You can directly apply your knowledge from your studies in practice and develop your skills step by step.

You have completed school with a good to very good general or subject-specific higher education entrance qualification or are about to do so. You are interested in mathematics and computer science and want to understand how software and IT systems work. You are committed and show interest in learning new things. You enjoy working in a team and have fun conceiving and designing. You have English language skills or want to develop them further. Good German language skills in word and writing (at least level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).
