Dual Study Program in Administrative Informatics

With your know-how, you will work on projects that use information technologies and data processing to handle business processes. You will also contribute to the further development of the joint IT core system of the German Pension Insurance. The study focuses are in the areas of administration and IT. The theory modules take place at the University of Applied Sciences in Hannover. The practical phases in the 5th and 7th semesters as well as during lecture-free periods take place at our location in Laatzen. In practice, you can for example: apply your technical and administrative science knowledge, learn real work processes, and support project work. You will work closely with the specialist departments of DRV Braunschweig-Hannover to develop requirements for IT systems. You will work with the IT department to clarify how these requirements can be optimally implemented. You will act as an interface between the specialist departments and IT. Your tasks will be varied and will continually present you with new challenges. Examples of your tasks after the dual study program include: analyzing legislative changes or committee resolutions with regard to technical impacts, creating requirements, formulating orders for the IT department, leading meetings, managing an order from requirements through implementation by IT departments, contributing to and collaborating in quality assurance and test management, working on projects, etc.

General higher education entrance qualification or unrestricted university of applied sciences entrance qualification. Convincing performance in mathematics and German.
