About this Apprenticeship
Sales assistant in a dm store in Hamburg: customer advice, product presentation and checkout. Working times by arrangement Monday to Saturday between 6:00 and 20:00. Fixed term.
What You'll Learn
- Advising: With competence and a smile you are there for our customers and leave none of their questions open.
- Presenting goods and arranging the range: clearly arranged, sorted in the customers' interest and easy to take from the shelf, so you help people enjoy shopping at dm.
- Customer orientation: With your openness and helpfulness you make shopping at dm a pleasant experience.
- Passport photo service: You take passport photos for ID documents and more according to biometric requirements.
- Cashier: You make sure everything runs smoothly at the checkout and customers finish their purchase in a pleasant atmosphere.
- Picking express orders: You process incoming online orders and help prepare express deliveries for our customers.
- Designing theme tables for promotions together: your creativity and ideas are as much in demand as your organizational talent in our sales promotions.
- Inventory: You record stock levels and place orders to make sure goods in the store do not run out.
Requirements
- Service mindset: With your empathy, commitment and joy in meeting people, you help create the typical dm feel-good atmosphere with us.
- Training and work experience: You have completed commercial training and already have work experience in retail or in a commercial field.
- eID activation for passport photo service: To transmit passport photos digitally to citizens' offices, you need the eID activated on your ID document.
- Skills: You enjoy digital work and are confident with smartphones and the like. You also speak German very well.
- Team spirit and motivation: To keep everyday work in the store running smoothly, you pitch in as a team and agree working hours together. When things get stressful, we can count on your calm.
- Initiative, solution orientation and drive to shape things: You want to take initiative, work independently, develop solutions and help create a future worth living for everyone with our work community.
- Flexibility: You actively take part in staff scheduling to match your working hours with the store's opening hours as well as possible.
