About this Apprenticeship
Apprenticeship as a cook at the Hamburg Marriott Hotel. You join the kitchen team that prepares tasty creations for guests, in an international environment with two regular school blocks per year.
What You'll Learn
- Getting to know all processes of the kitchen department (breakfast, lunch and dinner service)
- Preparing a wide variety of soups, fish, meat, vegetarian and many other dishes
- Learning cutting techniques, cooking methods and food presentation
- Safe handling of kitchen equipment
- Working independently after extensive induction
- Comprehensive insight into kitchen goods management
- Understanding and following the set standards and hygiene regulations
- Varied tasks in an international environment
- Two regular school blocks per year
- Developing personal strengths and interests
Requirements
- At least a good first school-leaving certificate
- Ideally you have already gained experience through an internship or mini-job in hospitality and gastronomy
- Desire for constant development and willingness to discover new things
- Team spirit and joy in sharing your enthusiasm
- Desire to achieve something special every day
- Host qualities with a thoroughly positive charisma
- Passion for hospitality/gastronomy and working with people
