Fundamentals of mechanics (manual and mechanical machining, separating, joining and forming); basic content in the training workshop, subsequently consolidated in practical work; assembly of subassemblies and components into machines and systems; manufacturing of components and assemblies; planning and controlling work processes, checking and evaluating work results; building and testing pneumatic and hydraulic controls; setting up machines; maintenance, repair, servicing and commissioning across the entire machine park at both sites; use of IT programs as well as presentation and communication techniques.

At least good intermediate school leaving certificate (Mittlere Reife / Fachoberschulreife); enjoyment of manual work with metal and teamwork; good comprehension, willingness to learn, reliability and motivation; technical interest, including good spatial imagination; good German language skills in word and writing, as well as good math skills.
