Apprenticeship as a Cook

Three-year recognised apprenticeship in the hospitality industry. Cooks handle all tasks involved in preparing food, from purchasing ingredients to plating dishes. After completing the apprenticeship, cooks can work in restaurants, hotels, canteens or catering companies.

Preparing high-quality and creative dishes using products from Störtebeker Braumanufaktur; creating banquets and buffets; applying professional kitchen techniques and product knowledge; complying with hygiene regulations and ensuring consistent food quality; ordering, checking and storing food.

Successful school-leaving qualification; enjoyment of working with and processing food; strong quality awareness and commitment to hygiene and order; willingness to perform and perseverance; initial gastronomy experience through internships or holiday jobs is an advantage.
