Apprenticeship as an Administrative Officer, Intermediate Civil Service

Two-year apprenticeship as an administrative officer at the Ennepe-Ruhr district authority. The program combines practical placements in the district administration with theoretical periods at the Südwestfälisches Studieninstitut in Hagen.

Practical placements in areas including central services, the district treasury, immigration office, fines office, vehicle registration and driving licence office, social administration and environmental administration. Theoretical subjects include constitutional, European, civil, civil service and administrative law, public administration business studies, public finance, economics and administrative management.

German citizenship within the meaning of Article 116 of the Basic Law or EU citizenship, under 40 years of age at the start of training, an intermediate secondary school certificate, successful completion of the selection process and medical fitness.

Trainee civil service pay of currently 1,559.78 euros gross per month, possible family and child allowances, capital-forming benefits, flexible working hours, free parking, 30 days of annual leave, very high chances of permanent employment, a secure job, personal training support, mobile working by agreement, an induction week, health programs, and further training opportunities.
