About this Apprenticeship
A 3.5-year industrial electrical technician apprenticeship at Bayernwerk Netz GmbH. You spend one third of the training at the Würzburg training centre, one third at the Fuchsstadt customer centre, and one third at the Würzburg vocational school. Training covers electricity supply, installing and maintaining power networks, and fixing faults.
What You'll Learn
- Learn how electricity reaches the places where it is needed, including homes, industrial sites, and electric vehicle charging stations.
- Learn to install, service, and maintain high-voltage and low-voltage networks and transformers, and to move safely around substations.
- Learn to identify and fix power network faults and keep the energy network running reliably around the clock.
Requirements
- You will soon have an intermediate secondary school certificate or a good lower secondary school certificate.
- You enjoy maths, physics and technology, especially when you can try things yourself on the local power network.
- You are ready for hands-on work and willing to work outdoors in all weather.
- You are reliable, willing to learn, and want to achieve things together with others.
- You can distinguish colours without difficulty, which is important when working with cables.
- You understand the importance of safety at work and for your team.
- You have very good German skills, at least B2.
