Local Operational Technology Security Coordinator

As Local Operational Technology Security Coordinator, you maintain the security of automation and process control systems and infrastructure at the Essen site. You work with an OT security management system and are also responsible for maintenance, improvements, design and specifications for work by external providers.

• Provide engineering support to maintain OT security for automation and process control systems and infrastructure at operating production sites. Follow corporate OT security requirements (BTD 70-0001) and international standards. Use the OT security management system to identify, document, analyse and describe the systems you support, ensuring they operate as intended and meet OT security requirements. Handle maintenance and improvement tasks, including design and specifications for external providers.
• Coordinate OT security measures for automation systems in chemical production
• Act as the main contact for local teams at the Essen plant
• Deliver and implement OT security projects and support electrical, measurement and control project and plant engineers with OT security questions
• Support independent OT security assessments by corporate audit, including implementation during planned system migrations and changes
• Help implement OT measures and support functional testing, acceptance and commissioning
• Carry out threat and risk analyses and define measures to address them
• Develop plans for OT security measures in production
• Identify and report new cybersecurity findings and developments and support local communication to raise awareness

• A completed degree in electrical or automation engineering and a strong interest in IT, or comparable vocational training
• Professional experience, preferably in process control technology and OT security
• Expertise in network and infrastructure technology and security systems and rules, or a very strong interest in these areas
• Knowledge of Siemens PCS7 and Emerson DeltaV is desirable
• Good spoken and written English
• Strong communication, cooperation and teamwork skills
• Interest in and ability to learn new systems and processes
