Qualified Train Manager, FlixTrain

As a qualified train manager or conductor on FlixTrain long-distance services, you will ensure safe journeys and provide good service on board. This role requires existing train crew qualifications; career change training and apprenticeships are not offered.

• Monitor the safe transport of passengers throughout the journey.
• Be a point of contact for passengers and provide excellent service on board.
• Check tickets and help sell tickets on the train.
• Assist with shunting and preparing and stabling the carriages.
• Independently carry out technical checks such as carriage inspections and brake tests.
• Actively create a positive travel experience for passengers.
• Help continually improve service and operating processes.

• Completed qualification as train crew, a conductor or a train manager.
• Existing qualifications for brake tests and carriage inspections, plus familiarity with computers; refresher training is available.
• Very good German at B2 level or above; some English is an advantage.
• Willingness to work on long-distance services across Germany and stay away overnight; Flix covers travel, meals and accommodation.
• Willingness to travel; free travel throughout Germany is available for work and private purposes.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• A focus on customer service, strong communication skills, a well-groomed appearance and the ability to stay calm and organised under stress.
