Controller R&D and Financial Planning

As Controller R&D and Financial Planning, you take on a central role in the company's financial management. You create transparency, provide well-founded decision bases and support economic stability, profitability and competitiveness. You work closely with Research & Development and international production sites and support strategic projects from idea to implementation.

• Responsibility for budgeting, forecasting and monthly closings of several reporting units (R&D and overhead areas)
• Creating and further developing profit-split calculations considering IP ownership, cost allocations, production site changes and inflation- and business-related effects
• Supporting and further developing controlling processes within our international production network in Germany, Poland, China and Tunisia
• Carrying out sound financial analyses, including NPV calculations, variance analyses, scenario modelling and investment evaluations
• Sparring partner and finance business partner for Research & Development
• Supporting project managers with business cases, profitability analyses and strategic initiatives
• Creating management reports, decision papers and financial recommendations for managers and decision-making bodies
• Identifying opportunities and risks within the project and product portfolio and developing suitable measures

• Successfully completed degree in business administration, economics, finance, accounting, industrial engineering or a comparable field
• Several years of professional experience in controlling, ideally in project, portfolio or R&D controlling
• Experience in a manufacturing company, preferably in medical technology, pharma or a regulated environment
• Sound knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, business cases, investment calculations and financial analysis
• Very good SAP skills and experience with reporting and planning tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), FIPS, Power BI or comparable applications
• Confident use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
• Structured and independent way of working and the ability to manage several projects and priorities at once
• Strong analytical thinking and the ability to turn complex matters into sound financial recommendations
• Very good German and good English skills, spoken and written
