Working Student Development & Testing Streaming Platform

You are studying computer science, media technology, or something similar and want to gain hands-on experience in developing a modern video streaming platform? Then become part of our team in Berlin and work with us on FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television), VoD, and live streaming. To support our team, we are looking for you at the earliest possible date as

Development: You support our team in the (further) development of backend and frontend components with TypeScript/NodeJS and React Testing & Bugfixing: You write and execute tests, analyze errors, and participate in code reviews APIs: You assist in the development and maintenance of our APIs Streaming: You work on projects around HLS and tools like FFmpeg for VoD and live Infrastructure: You gain first experience with Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, and cloud environments

• YOUR PROFILE:
• You are an enrolled student in computer science, media technology, or similar and can support us for approx. 16–20 hours per week (flexible around lectures and exams)
• You have a good command of JavaScript/TypeScript
• You are interested in backend/frontend technologies and streaming
• You have basic knowledge of Docker, Git, and CI/CD
• You enjoy learning, show initiative, and like working in a team
• You communicate well in German and English NICE TO HAVE:
• Experience with React or NodeJS
• Understanding of audio/video encoding and FFmpeg
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• First exposure to Kubernetes, cloud, or observability (Grafana/Prometheus)
• Experience with AI workflows (e.g., Claude Code) and interest in their further development
