School Internship at Cordes & Graefe Osnabrück

Hello, I'm Leo, 16 years old and in 10th grade! I completed my two-week school internship at CORDES & GRAEFE OSNABRÜCK KG. When I visited a training fair, I got talking to the apprentice Finn. He gave me a great insight into his daily work and told me a bit about his apprenticeship at CORDES & GRAEFE OSNABRÜCK. That sounded very exciting, so I applied directly for an internship place. My first day at the internship was very cool. I was welcomed by three nice apprentices. Then I did a company tour and an ABEX visit. Finally, we visited the ELEMENTS bathroom exhibition, where a scavenger hunt was organized for me. Through the scavenger hunt, I got an informative insight into products around the bathroom, found in the different bathroom cubicles. Afterwards, we ended the day with a delicious shared lunch. CORDES & GRAEFE OSNABRÜCK sells as a specialist wholesaler for building technology everything around the house, including heat pumps. Last year, a new SAMSUNG training room was opened in the main building in Osnabrück, where SAMSUNG heat pumps are presented. Two apprentices showed me this room and explained a few things about the devices. That was a really exciting and extensive topic, since I had heard little about heat pumps before. Now I have a small insight into the heating world of the future. Throughout the entire internship, various apprentices took me to the departments they were currently assigned to. Thus, I gained many different insights. I particularly liked the ZVK, the E-Business department, and the ELEMENTS exhibition. In the ZVK, with support from Jasmina, I created a quote and wrote delivery notes for customers. In E-Business, I accompanied Calli's project. It was about an online special campaign with heating and air conditioning items. In the ELEMENTS exhibition, Luca showed me how to plan a bathroom in 3D and how he selects the required items in the merchandise management system or in the online shop GC ONLINE PLUS. My positive expectations, which I got at the training fair through Finn, have been completely confirmed and I got a good insight into the tasks and processes of the wholesale business. Particularly great is that during the internship you can work independently in every department, which I didn't expect.
