Craft Internship

Hi, I'm Luca, apprentice in the third year at CORDES & GRAEFE OSNABRÜCK KG. I am doing my apprenticeship as a Management Assistant for Wholesale and Foreign Trade here. Last month I had my two-week craft internship at our customer Oeverhaus GmbH & Co. KG. On the first day I was quite nervous about what to expect. But the team welcomed me immediately in a friendly way and so the nervousness quickly disappeared. Right at the beginning I was allowed to accompany a customer service technician in his daily work and even drive his company van. Over the two weeks I worked on a wide variety of projects. I helped with the installation of sanitary objects, in renovating an old bathroom, in repairs and maintenance. I particularly enjoyed the work in customer service. My highlight was when I installed an undercounter washbasin from VIGOUR in a dental practice. Of course I worked with the CONEL tools! Another exciting part of my internship was the work on the construction site. I was able to learn how to handle tools in peace, without curious end customers standing in the door. Those were valuable experiences for me, to see how the products I otherwise sell look in action and are installed! Sometimes there were challenges when not everything went according to plan, but it showed me how important flexibility and problem-solving skills are. Overall, during my internship I not only learned a lot about the craft, but also about teamwork, communication and creativity. It really showed me how important the craft is and how much fun it is to create something with your own hands. If you also fancy such a varied apprenticeship, then apply to us and become part of the team! See you soon, Your Luca
