Team Lead International Shipping & Customs

• TASKS AWAITING YOU:
• Ensure worldwide shipping processing and timely, quality-compliant delivery of customer orders, follow-up orders, and intercompany orders
• Manage customs clearance, export control, and compliance with all foreign trade regulations
• Lead, develop, and promote the International Shipping & Customs team in both technical and disciplinary aspects
• Plan, control, and monitor project, plant, construction site, air, and sea freight transports considering deadlines, costs, and risks
• Build and further develop an international network of carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics service providers
• Negotiate freight rates, logistics contracts, and service level agreements with national and international logistics providers
• Ensure legally compliant export, customs, and shipping processing
• Monitor and optimize transport costs, delivery performance, and service quality
• Continuously develop and optimize international shipping, export, and customs processes

Successfully completed commercial training with focus on forwarding, foreign trade, or logistics, ideally supplemented by relevant further education Alternatively a completed degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, industrial engineering, or a comparable field Several years of professional and leadership experience in international shipping and export environment of a manufacturing company Sound knowledge of customs and foreign trade law as well as export control Experience in international air and sea freight and in managing freight forwarders and logistics service providers Confident handling of ERP systems, ideally SAP Negotiation-level German and English skills Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Structured, solution-oriented, and entrepreneurial working style
