Apprenticeship as Hearing Aid Acoustician, Konz

The apprenticeship combines customer advice, modern hearing technology and technical craftsmanship. An in-house academy supports you throughout the apprenticeship and prepares you for your exams.

You support customers personally on site, from the first conversation until they can hear better again. You learn about the structure and function of the ear and the connection between hearing, the body and perception. You work with advanced hearing aid technology and learn about AI-supported hearing systems. You learn technical craftsmanship, from pre-setting hearing systems and taking ear impressions to milling earmoulds. You conduct hearing tests and measurements and learn how to interpret the results correctly. Together with customers, you find solutions that fit their everyday lives and personal needs. You work in a team and gradually take on more responsibility.

Curiosity and enthusiasm for constantly learning new things; enjoyment of working with people, listening, asking questions and finding good solutions together; an open and respectful approach to others; initiative and a reliable, careful working style; enjoyment of teamwork and taking responsibility; enthusiasm for the combination of people, craftsmanship, natural sciences and modern technology; intermediate school-leaving certificate, very good lower secondary school certificate or currently working towards one; German at least at B2 level.

The in-house academy supports you throughout the apprenticeship and specifically prepares you for your exams. After the apprenticeship, GEERS covers the costs of further training as a master craftsperson, paediatric audiologist or cochlear implant specialist. The apprenticeship is independently certified as Fair Training. Pay is €800 in the first year, €950 in the second year and €1,050 in the third year, plus 25 days of annual leave. Good performance is rewarded with premiums and bonus payments. GEERS covers 50% of the Deutschland-Ticket, pays an additional €50 per month through the Edenred card and covers the costs of vocational school stays in Lübeck.
