Product Development Project Lead

The company is looking for a project lead to manage complex product development projects from start to finish and work with systems architecture and specialist departments. The role includes responsibility for schedules, budgets, resources and risks, supported by strong technical understanding.

• Project responsibility: You manage schedules, budgets, resources and risks for complex product development projects, from the concept phase through to handover to series production
• Interdisciplinary collaboration: You work closely with systems architecture, domain managers in mechanics, electronics and software, as well as procurement, quality and industrialization, ensuring that decisions are made and implemented on time
• Risk and action management: You identify technical and scheduling risks early, assess their impact and manage suitable countermeasures
• Gate decisions and committee work: You prepare gate decisions thoroughly and present project status, risks and decision proposals to steering committees and management
• Facilitation and decision-making: You facilitate interdisciplinary project teams, bring different interests together and promote practical, sustainable decisions
• Stakeholder management: You manage internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, quality and manufacturing, throughout the development process

• Education: Completed technical university studies, for example in mechatronics, electrical engineering, industrial engineering or mechanical engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification
• Professional experience: Several years of experience in product or project development, ideally with a background in design, development or systems engineering
• Technical understanding: You can independently assess technical risks, interface problems and maturity levels and discuss them with systems architecture and domain managers
• Project management: Strong skills in project planning and control, as well as schedule and resource management; experience with gate or stage processes in product development is an advantage
• Leadership and facilitation: You have strong assertiveness and decision-making skills, excellent facilitation abilities and the ability to mediate and prioritize in complex teams
• Communication: You communicate clearly, present confidently to committees and management, and have very good German and good English skills
