Medical Controlling Specialist / Clinical Coder / Profiler

We are looking for a Medical Controlling Specialist / Clinical Coder / Profiler (m/f/d) for our coding team at Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch at the earliest possible date, in full or part-time, based in Berlin with the option to work partially mobile within the FlexWork framework.

• Coding of diagnoses and procedures for inpatient cases including all DRG-relevant matters based on medical records, taking into account applicable coding guidelines and legal requirements
• Recording of medications, additional fees, NUB and other billing-relevant matters
• Billing release for correct and timely DRG billing of inpatient and hybrid treatment cases
• Concurrent coding during inpatient stay as well as continuous review and completion of case documentation
• Interdisciplinary coordination with physicians, DRG officers and nursing staff within case discussions to clarify coding-relevant questions
• Review and processing of DTA requests as well as clarification of coding- and billing-related queries
• Plausibility checks within the framework of external quality assurance as well as preparation of MD audit cases - starting from document dispatch including statement procedures

• You have completed vocational training in the medical or nursing field, e.g. as a healthcare and nursing professional (m/f/d), and have gained (initial) professional experience
• Ideally you have completed further training as a clinical coder (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification
• You have knowledge of the DRG system and in the areas of coding, case-based payment system, billing regulations and clinical documentation
• In addition, you have knowledge of medical terminology and are familiar with SAP IS-H, IS-H med or similar hospital information systems
• You maintain an independent and self-responsible working style and are motivated to familiarize yourself with new topics and new IT functionalities
• You have the legally required proof of immunization against measles
