In Service Support (ISS) Project Manager

HENSOLDT is seeking an In Service Support Project Manager for its Integrated Programme Management Land and Medical team in Fürstenfeldbruck. The role takes technical and financial responsibility for ISS projects.

• Manage complex In Service Support projects within Integrated Programme Management Land and Medical
• Run and oversee the tendering process
• Plan and control projects
• Ensure quality assurance
• Monitor delivery of services
• Mentor junior project managers
• Support customers during project delivery
• Win business through existing customer relationships
• Support team and business unit management with acquiring new customers and other sales activities
• Act as the link between ISS projects and implementation projects
• Provide technical leadership to the project team and serve as the main contact for customers, subcontractors and management
• Identify and pursue business opportunities related to projects
• Develop and expand ISS projects within Integrated Programme Management Land and Medical

• A completed degree in a technical field or natural sciences, or an equivalent qualification
• Extensive and varied professional experience, including experience with products and services that require detailed explanation
• Experience in the defence industry, especially technical logistics support
• Confident use of MS Office; good SAP skills are desirable
• Fluent German and good English, both written and spoken
• Analytical and conceptual thinking and a willingness to learn new topics
• Ability to set priorities and experience leading projects using the V model
• Ability to learn quickly and understand complex connections across different areas
• A focus on goals and solutions, strong quality awareness, cost awareness, strong advisory and negotiation skills, communication skills and teamwork
• A solid understanding of government and military procurement processes
• Willingness to undertake occasional business travel
