Quality Engineer

HENSOLDT is seeking a quality engineer in Ulm to join its Engineering Product and Project Quality department as soon as possible. The department supports electronic warfare, avionics and radar programmes and related development, sales and logistics teams, ensuring effective processes with low risk and efficient quality work.

• Work independently as a quality engineer in project teams, including reporting
• Ensure processes are followed, taking contractual requirements and project tasks into account
• Plan and carry out all quality tasks throughout the product life cycle, with a focus on customer service
• Act as the contact for customers and suppliers on project quality matters
• Confirm product compliance with legal rules and contractual requirements
• Ensure project goals are achieved with minimal risk, within performance, time and cost limits
• Help with inspection planning, product verification and validation, and certification of systems, subsystems and equipment

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, communications engineering, aerospace engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable subject
• Several years of experience in civilian and/or military quality management and/or development
• Knowledge of risk and requirements management
• Experience and detailed knowledge of electronics, hardware and systems development; knowledge of software development is an advantage
• Strong communication skills, assertiveness and the ability to reach agreement, along with initiative, independence, leadership skills and teamwork
• Very good written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel for work, including abroad
