Software Developer for Automated Test Systems

For the "Test Software" department, a software developer is wanted as soon as possible at the Ulm site. The team of about 30 employees designs, develops and integrates production and customer testers for radar, electronic warfare and avionics systems for vehicles, aircraft, helicopters and ships. The automated test systems are based on test managers such as TestStand, which integrate LabView and LabWindows applications or are programmed in C++.

• Developing drivers for use in overall systems according to internal software development standards
• Developing tools and support software, independent of framework, needed for projects
• Translating external and internal requirements into module functionality
• Participating in code reviews
• Technical coordination with the relevant specialist department
• Documenting the software in the required language (German/English)
• Analyzing and fixing malfunctions and errors
• Independently handling assigned work packages

• Completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, physics or similar
• Experience developing test systems with the NI toolchain, e.g. NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand
• Experience with version control such as Git is desirable
• Knowledge of measurement technology (e.g. optical measurement systems, analog and digital measurement technology)
• Knowledge of high-frequency measurement technology (e.g. S-parameter measurement)
• Enjoy teamwork and finding innovative solutions
• Very good German and English skills
• Willingness to travel on business occasionally
